The ILJ-MI book club meets bi-monthly virtually to discuss titles that are relevant to our clients and immigrant and refugee stories. It would be a pleasure if you joined us. The group is casual and conservational, and you can participate even if you haven’t read (or finished) the book.
Retirement awaits. In only a few days. After three plus years as Executive Director and seven years of involvement in Immigration Law & Justice Michigan, I’m retiring on Monday, January 29.
Many of ILJ-MI’s client stories are saddening, but the stories about our underage clients are especially heartbreaking. We share the accounts of their lives not only to describe the hardships that children who are refugees and asylum seekers endure, but to also emphasize their remarkable strength, resilience and tenacity in the face of such adversity.
