Marcelo Betti, ILJ-MI’s Legal Director, graduated from Northernwestern Michigan College in 2005. He was honored as one of 75 Outstanding Alumni in celebration of NMC’s 75th anniversary. Marcelo not only graduated from NMC, but he’s returned to take courses on Spanish, so that he can serve clients in English, Portuguese, and now Spanish. From his early days as an NMC student, Marcelo has always focused on helping people. Now as the Legal Director, he not only helps clients navigate the increasingly complex immigration legal process, but he also supervises, mentors, and supports a team of staff attorneys, DOJ representatives, and legal assistants.
